Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone! How did you celebrate New Year? We have a family tradition to go out for a meal – my husband, the three ‘kids’ and myself. The ‘kids’ are 18, 21 and 23, and here we all are in the other tradition, which is our family group photo at New Year.

New-Year's-Eve-2014After our meal we left the ‘kids’ to party in Newcastle and headed home. My husband has been hard at work this year building us a stra1472747_10205076910711983_6341148752953644473_nw bale build sauna in the garden, and this has been the best Christmas present, ever. We got it piping hot, and enjoyed a candle lit sauna. Coupled with the wine we’d had at luchtime, it wasn’t long before we were counting zzz’s and I’m afraid all intentions of seeing the new year in with Jools Holland’s Hootenany and a bottle of champagne went out the window. These two old folk were in bed by 10.30!

I’ve had a lovely break over the festive period, with lots of fine sunny days and some good walks in our beautiful Northumberland countryside

It’s done me the power of good, following a very busy couple of months before Christmas, and I feel well rested and ready to start woolly pedlaring with renewed vigour.

I’ve got lots of plans for 2015, with my online shop coming to this website in January, new products in the pipeline, hopefully a regular pitch at our local Hexham Farmer’s Market, and applications being sent off the summer’s festivals. As soon as dates and events are confirmed, I’ll let you know. I’ve got a feeling in my waters that it’s going to be a good year.

Happy New Year to you all! I hope it is a happy and healthy one for you all.
