Description
Funky upcycled child poncho with round neck, in shades of blue, black and white, along with some pretty patterns. Made from locally sourced, top quality recycled wool knitwear. Made by The Woolly Pedlar in her studio in rural Northumberland, and from locally sourced, recycled wool jumpers.
This is an original Woolly Pedlar design, made from squares cut from recycled jumpers. Even if a jumper has a hole in, I can cut out the best bits and use them to make my ponchos. Upcycling means to use waste and turn it into something better, which is what I’m doing here, reusing and recycling! All jumpers have a high wool content, have been chosen for their colour and texture. They are then hot washed, cut into squares and sewn with an overlocker/serger sewing machine with seams showing for added texture and interest.
By buying one of my upcycled products you are not only helping a small business and the local economy, but you are helping the planet too by reducing the drain on our precious resources. If you’re wondering what upcycling is all about, then take a look at my video
We also make ponchos for big people too! Check them out in Women’s Clothing: https://woollypedlar.co.uk/product-category/womens-clothing/womensponchos/
